  15. <p>     DIED. Mary Victor Bruce, 94, British daredevil who shattered
  16. air, land and sea speed and distance records in the 1920s and
  17. '30s. In 1929 Bruce set a world record by driving a car 2,164
  18. miles at an average of 90 m.p.h. over 24 hours on a track near
  19. Paris. The next year she was arrested for flying around the
  20. Empire State Building in a biplane.
